Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Every volume of Cartographer's Annual are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and continents from almost any perspective. Users can also create character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here is that while you can redeem the deal on any platform, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
