Renowned Star The actor Pat Finn, Known For Appearances in Seinfeld and The Middle, Has Died at the Age of Sixty.
American performer Pat Finn, who appeared in popular programs like Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has succumbed at the age of 60.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in Los Angeles on Monday having undergone treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, according to media reports.
"Pat Finn never met a stranger - only friends he hadn't encountered," his relatives shared in a announcement.
They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".
An Extensive TV Career
His debut TV appearance was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.
He also had a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" from 1995 to 1997.
He starred as the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in the late 90s, depicting a party host famous for delegating tedious tasks to his guests.
Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous well-known programs, such as:
- King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- "House"
His most famous role for playing the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight seasons of the show from 2011 to 2018.
His cinematic roles include It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".
Beyond the Screen
Outside of his acting parts, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was part of a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat guided, supported, and advised numerous pupils during his career and it's nearly impossible to find a person anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his family wrote.
In a tribute, fellow actor actor Richard Kind noted there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Always positive, helping you be funnier and better. A wonderful father and man," Kind wrote online.
The actor is remembered by his partner Donna, his children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
